MUAY THAI

Muay Thai or Thai Boxing is considered one of the most respected and feared martial arts in the world. Being the national sport of Thailand it has a rich history in the thai culture but has spread worldwide due to its effectiveness and simplicity. Muay Thai utilizes not only the hands and shins/feet to punch and kick the opponent or attacker but also uses knee and elbow strikes, giving the practitioner eight points of contact and also it’s nickname “the art of eight limbs”.

These weapons combined with clinch fighting in which two opponents grapple and use short explosive strikes to do maximum damage with minimal space make Muay Thai one of the most effective and dangerous striking styles on the planet. It’s brutal nature is only out weighed by its traditional roots of respect.
