Developing young minds and bodies is an important job. Building both a love and respect for martial arts takes work and dedication. At The Temple, our priority is on building their skill and confidence while ensuring that each child is safe and having fun. Coach Brooks comes from a family of educators and Coach Shawn started his career working with children over 20 years ago.
Martial Arts is about more than simply self-defense, it also builds mental awareness, spatial awareness, and when practiced regularly results in a mastery of ones own body that is rarely seen in other sports. Martial Arts is both a sport for the body and for the mind. At The Temple, we work hard to develop natural skill and overcome obstacles that children are struggling with mastering. The result of our program is kids who have learned to quiet their mind, listen to their body, and understand the power of their body in this world…resulting in a confidence that comes from within.
